| How long has she been like this? Are there any kind of weeds with stickers in your yard like foxtails? that could have gotten in her eye. If you have plain natural tears you can rinse her eye with that till tomorrow. Then you should take her in. Unless you think there might be something in it or there is a possibility she could have scratched it, if so you should take her to the vet now. Last edited by lillymae; 12-04-2009 at 09:26 PM. |

Please explain more, Is she pawing at it? Does it look sore and red? Sometimes my girl will get her eyes a little irritated and I will clean them for her with sterile water or the natural tear stuff. Usually that clears it up within a day. If its pussing I would probably take her in tomorrow. Eye infection can spread to the other eye. | |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would get her in today just to be safe. It could be very minor and you can treat her with eye drops. Please keep us posted.

| Yellow puss is a sign of infection. Your Yorkie could even have an eye ulcer. She needs to be seen by your vet. |
