Hubby just called and said Snick is doing GRRREEEEAAATTTT!!! I can pick him up anytime today so will be going right after work!!!!!!! Yayyyyyy!! My lil soldier!! I am so HaPPPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

Okay, you had me scared, I've been checking and checking for your update. lol.

So glad all is good and Snickers is good to come home.

I'm glad you got to see him yesterday, we weren't allowed to.

The surgeon thought it would be too much excitement and he would want to come home. I bet Snickers will be so ready to be back in mommy's arms.

Vivian, I was getting so worried when you didn't post again right away. I know I get attached to other member's babies, but man, Snickers you had me tied in knots!

I'm thrilled he's doing so well!

The vet said Snick was the best patient and that he is the CUTEST sticking his head out of all his blankets and bed!!! I LOVE HIM!!

Last night there was another lil doggie (shih zu I think) who had no blankets or bed

Some people!!!!!

hmmm, our place didn't really want to take anything because they didn't want to be responsible in case it got thrown out when they cleaned out the cage. The tech who took Hot Rod in wound taking his blankie and lamb anyway. I didn't care if I didn't get it back (I have extras lol), I just wanted to make sure he had something that smelled familiar. I am so glad that Snickers is being made so comfortable where he is. I bet he's missing mommy and daddy but at least he's comfy.

Bo---I know, they said they will take his blankets but were not sure if they would use them post surgery. They said depending on the incision, they would use the bedding or not. Snicks stitched went in so well that he was able to use his bedding (thank goodness!) He did use his bedding while waiting for surgery too.

Snickers is home....all is at peace

Time for recovery....he already is starting to move around ALOT, we made him a 3x3 area with a baby play pen and 534875648754 blankets

We put his bed in their and his bully and he seems great in it. I HATE crates so happy this is going to work out.

Hi Again Viv,

I was just reading your thread and catching up- isn't it nice to have your baby back with you?! Those are the most agonizing hours waiting- I cleaned my entire house with a fine tooth comb- twice! haha

The playpen sounds like a great idea! Just wanted to make sure Snickers wouldn't try to jump out of it. I know that standing on hind legs is a really big no- no after surgery because it makes the pins back out, and in his usual pen Moose would always stand up on his hind legs and try to get us to get him out.

So I built Moose an enclosure that he had tons of room in but had a head cover so he couldn't stand up. The things we do for our babies haha!

Just looking out for his little legs and wanted to make sure Snickers wouldn't do that!
