Sophie just got into a tube of household cement!! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

She only had it for like a few seconds and only got like a drop or two (I hope!). I don't even know how she got it!!!

But it scared me to death! We could smell it on her mouth but couldn't taste it (yes, she was giving us kisses). I washed her mouth out with water and we can't smell it anymore.

I already called the emergency vet and they told me she should be ok but to watch her and make sure she eats, drinks, and pottys. She's eating her supper now and drinking some water. And she just pooped. We've got our pet water dropper in case we need to give her any more water. The emergency vet will be there until 7 am so they said call or come in if she happened to get worse. They were very nice. I'm going to probably sleep on the couch in the great room with her tonight so just say a little prayer and keep her in your thoughts that she didn't get enough to hurt her!

These babies can get into so much!

Oh my gosh, it does not matter how closely you watch them they are into EVERYTHING!!! and they are so darn fast. Hope all will be ok and will say a prayer tonight for you guys!

Thanks! She's in my lap now. Her usual nightly spot! She's got a little bit that has dried on her face, so I've got to get it out. Any suggestions on that, too?

Oh Kristie I hope Sophie is ok. Hopefully she just got it in her hair. Try using a little rubbing alcohol to get it out.

Thanks! Me, too! I have no idea where she even got it! It was up on the small part of the kitchen counter next to the phone way out of her reach! I'm thinking one of the cats may have gotten up where they aren't supposed to be and knocked it off. She seems fine now. I'm watching her tonight though, just to make sure. At least the emergency vet is only about 20-25 minutes away if I need it. They were really nice when I called.

Thanks! She seems to be ok. She played, ate, drank, & pooped and she's now taking a nap in my lap like she does every night. I've got the vet's number right next to me just in case!

How scary..I swear these little guys are so much worse than when I had toddlers in the house. It doesn't matter how careful you are they can find stuff you didn't even know was there. I hope Sophie is ok

Hey everyone! Sophie did fine last night and is fine today! She's eaten, drank plenty of water, and pooped and peed. So I think she'll be fine! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!!

I know how terrifying that can be and how scary the outcome may turn out to be as well. I hope your baby will be okay!
