| Pleaes help urgently needing advise Hi I urgently need some advise. My Yorkie is 3 months old now. A few days ago she managed to get into the outside bin and swallowed what i think is/was a chicken bone. She couldn't breath and my partner stuch his finger down her through and pushed what ever it was into her stomach as he could not pull it out. Thank goodness she could breath and all was well i think. Now she doesn't want to eat her food (dry pellets and at night i soften it for her). She is more that willing to eat food like mash, pumpkin and things like that. Now i know not to feed Yorkies any human food because of their bad digestive systems but it is all that she want to eat. I am very worried about this and don't know if the bone has now caused this and or what i should do. So please if anyone has some advise or it has maybe happened to you, please reply. Thank you. Very worried mom

| You need to get her in to the vet. The bone could have punctured something in the digestive tract or be lodged somewhere. I don't mean to scare you but you really need to have her looked at right away, especially if she's eating differently.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i agree, a vet visit is in order. it could be that her throat is just sore and she prefers the soft food right now but it could also be that the chicken bone has now caused a blockage or puncture wound.
