YorkieTalk Newbie! | my yorkie won't eat i prepared my yorkie's first meal of the day and noticed that he wouldn't put interest in it... he refused to eat any, not even me giving it on my finger. my yorkie is only 2months and a week old and i have him for a week and 2 days. ever since he got home he has been very playful and active with all of my family members which consists of my daughter, son and wife. i have offered treats, milk, chewy treats that i use while i groom him and still wouldn't eat his meal. all of a sudden his stomach starts growling and then started vomiting. i decided to take him out for his regular walk and he seemed to be happy running around and being just happy. he ate some grass which he usually does, but today he won't even try eating and yawns alot... i haven't changed his food or treats which are: milk bones, dentyne chewables, beef chunk treats. please help. cus i'm about to take him to the vet. |

| I would watch him and look for any further changes in behavior. My Zeus goes through these phases as well and eventually snaps out of it. I would try a little peanut butter on your finger to try and stimulate his appetite. |

| How many times did he vomit? Do you have Nutrical? Any diarrhea? Are his gums a normal pink color?

| Nutrical is a sugar supplement for dogs. A pup that vomits four times needs to see a vet immediately. This could turn into something very serious. Please at least call the vet immediately. A nine-week-old pup can dehydrate and go down hill very quickly.

Totally agree. A 9 week old pup who has vomited 4 times should get to the Vet ASAP. Yorkie puppies, even if playing one moment - the next moment could be in a life threatening situation. And, the fact he has no appetite could be very serious as his age - please take him in right away!!!

| maybe it's the treats doing this to him; that's too many treats; why dont u try cutting the treats completely; he will get hungry and eat; which food are you feed him. if he doesnt want to eat; you can try boiled chicken and rice; or baby gerber food; he needs to eat something. make sure he's hydrated if he's vomiting; upset stomach can lead to gastritis; and you dont want that believe me. good luck

YorkieTalk Newbie! | Diagnosed with Parvo I'm scared. I took Kimchi to the vet and she gave him fluids under the skin to keep him from dehydrating. Then I was sent home with some meds. Later on my wife came home from work and noticed that Kimchi was really not well (still vomiting and diarrhea) We took him to an overnight clinic and they told me he tested positive for PARVO and might not survive . I cannot afford the amount the treatment costs. So they gave him more SQ fluids and sent us home with antibiotics and tears in our hearts. Last night my wife slept with him on the floor giving him bits of fluids to keep him thru the night. He did not vomit anymore. Kimchi woke up today at his usual time 6:am very hungry. He ate more than his usual meal and as of now 11:45 has not vomited or had any diarrhea. I hope this are good signs. |

What about your contract w/ your breeder? Since you've only had him a short time, I would hope the breeder would be required by your contract (or willing) to help you save this baby, in terms of helping financially.
