A UTI? Vaginitis? Stella has been licking her privates a bit more than usual, so I checked her before giving her a bath and I saw that she had a little red dried up discharge (blood?) in that area. I tried to clean most of it off with a baby wipe, but some would not come off, and I didn't want to irritate her. She has been drinking and eating normally, and still using her puppy pad the way she should (no unexpected urination or bloody urination). She's 5 1/2 months and I don't think she's in heat or going into heat because we were just at puppy class yesterday and the male dogs there weren't any more excited than the females to meet her. Also, she hasn't stained any of her bedding or any of that, but she doesn't seem quite as playful as she is usually. I tried looking up her symptoms on the net and on here, but nothing seemed to give me enough detail to figure it out. I made a vet appointment for her tomorrow morning, but I'm curious what it could be because it's been bothering me all day. Any ideas?

Happy to report that the only thing the vet could find was a case of doggie diaper rash (even though she doesn't wear a diaper?).

Yeah I had no idea they could get it unless they were wearing something (ie: panties, diaper) that was bothering them. So, he sent me home with puppy desitin cream...better than her being on antibiotics!
