| I need advice..... Hello I haven't been on in quite some time and I am needing your advice or help.. Tilly hasn't been doing to good lately, I know she is up in age (14) and has Cushings, She has been hiding behind chairs, just not wanting to be near me like she use to be.. coughing continuesly she has a large tumor on her chest and another one on her throat, I held her and I have been rocking her and can honeslty say this is going to be pretty hard to come to grips with, I have also noticed sami is staying clear of her, and I am not sure if he knows? Tilly will be my first baby that I will be losing. I am pretty sure her time is near and just needed to ask, What I should do? I so afraid if loosing her and I don't know what to do? I live alone just the three of us and I work and I am afraid to come home and find her not at the front door anymore, well I can go on and on But I wont, Im sure you all have the same fears and loss, if you could please share with me how you handle this? thank you joann

| Im so sorry about your baby. I would take Tilley to the vet. Hiding sounds like she may be in pain...Your vet will give you some pain pills to make Tilley more comfortable..Good Luck and let us know... |

| My heart is breaking for you My best friend is going through this with her 10yr old springer spaniel. It is heartbreaking. She has made me promise not to let her be selfish and keep Mackay going when he clearly needs to be let go. I hope she knows when it's time. I think you will too. I am so sorry you are going through this. I want to send you a HUGE hug, and let you know that we are all here for you if you need it.

| Joann, I am so sorry Tilly is not doing well. You certainly don't want her to suffer so I do think it would be wise to take her to the vet for a checkup. If she is coughing constantly then that is not good. Perhaps he could give her something. I know this has to be so hard on you. My Dixie is 12 years old and fortunately she is in good health except her vision is not as good as it use to be. I dread the day her heath starts failing. I will remember you and Tilly in my prays. I know it is so hard to let them go. Hugs. |

I was holding on to Tilly and not wanting to let her go she was a part of my husband and myself, she got me through my husband passing and I knew once I lost her I lost it all... I had Tilly Put to sleep today and It was the second most painful feeling I will carry with me, Thank you all for your help in deciding the right path to take here because I was being selfish.. and reading your replys helped me see this through your eyes instead of my heart

YT 1000 Club Member | I'm so sorry about your Tilly. It's so hard to let go of them. No more suffering for Tilly. Now only bones, open grass to run in and all her favorite things. Your crying for her now but a day will come when you'll smile everytime you think of her.

| I lost my Layla on Friday.... I am so sorry for Tilly and you. It is the hardest thing I have had to go through. I got Laya when I was 16. Right after my Dad died suddenly of a heart attack. I know it's not the same, but I am grieving Layla like I did my Dad. She was only 8. On thursday we took her in because she was acting weird. They thought it was her knees. Then it was a neorological disease, maybe GME. Then it was her liver. She had a liver shunt and I couldn't afford surgery. It was so hard all week! I was so hopeful... Then on Friday when I woke up I thought it wasn't right. I called work and we took her in at 9. Then when we got home and she had a seizure(again). Then another one that did not stop. I didn't know it would be within a week. I can tell you that it was hardest watching her go through that almost more so then letting her go. I was a basket case all week and now I just miss her alot. She left behing her friend Gizmo. We got him to breed with her 7 years ago. I wish I hadn't because now her pups might have this terrible disease. I just don't know how to dael with his loss. He still looks behind him where she always was. I hope you feel better day by day and you did the right thing by not being selfish for your girl to stay with youhwen you knew it was better for her to go. I believe they will watch over us and we will see them again. |
