| 5 month old vomiting I changed foods 4 days ago - there was a mixture of new food and old food brand but Marley has been throwing up a milky/creamy white vomit ever since. She does it mostly in the morning and doesn't have an appetite. Could it be the food change? How long should that last? |

| Diet changes must be done very gradually, by introducing the new food to the old over the course of a week or so, so it may be this which is causing your dog's stomach upset. You can try to offer a bland diet of boiled rice (most of it) and skinless boneless chicken (a bit just to add flavor) for a few days until she seems to be back to normal. Her lack of appetite is understandable as nature tries to give her irritated tummy a rest. After all, a fast of 12 hours is what is often recommended for vomiting dogs. You can rub some maple syrup on her gums if you notice she is getting weak. But should she become lethargic she should see a vet. |
