| Puppy Acting Sick My puppy Chloe will be 2 years old on April 13. This past week she has started having very strange behavior. She is normally very active and interested in everything go on around her. Lately she has been acting very timid and frightened of everything. She hides under tables and tries to go behind the couch. She also will not jump up or down from the couch or chair. She will not go down stairs to go outside to potty, we have to pick her up and carry her. I know that toy breeds to have special health needs and we are getting extrememly concerned about her. Has anyone else had a puppy that has had these problems? Any suggestions for us? Anything would be appreciated! |

| Could something have happened to her while you were gone during the day? It sounds like she has been frightened by something.

| I agree with katelin. It sounds like your puppy is displaying ,"trauma", behavioral characteristics. Have their been any guests in the house lately alone with her? Did she have a fall that you might not have known about? Was she ever outside by herself? |

| I can't think of anything that has happened that we have seen. She NEVER goes outside alone and during the day she goes to my parents house, who also have a Yorkie and they play together. This morning she started throwing up, but she only threw up once. We took her temp and it was completely normal. She also has been eating treats, but not necessarily food. This just really worries us because this is not her normal behavior (she LOVES to eat) and we want to help her if there is any way possible! |

BANNED FOR NOT SENDING A GE GIFT! | Sick puppy I think I would call the folks, and sort of ask, in a kind way, if she may have jumped off of something.....if their Yorkie is a little older or larger, perhaps they thought nothing of it, and she accidentally got hurt |

| Being that she is hiding and will not jump or go down the stairs, she may have hurt herself. Her back/spine and honestly, I would be going to the Vet ASAP |

| I'd head to the vet too. Have you checked her gums to make sure they are pink? I had a little dog that was just walking down the street with me and injured his back. He was in a lot of pain, but at the time I didn't know what had happened to him. The vet was able to x-ray his spine and find the problem area, and the treatment worked wonderfully. I'd definitely have your baby checked out.

| Update on Chloe! Chloe is feeling so much better. She went to the vet yesterday and got 2 shots and some antibiotics. He thinks that she just had a virus. She met me at the door when I came home from school today and is now eating and playing. She has also started jumping up on the couch again! Thanks so much to everyone, you guys made me feel so much better when I was worried about her! Thanks again! |
