| Update on Maggie's ear... I took Maggie to the dermatologist today and she does not have to have surgery... YAY!!! She has severe allergies though and is now on a rabbit and potato diet and she gets 'Atopica' a medication that'll give her instant relief from the itching. Her inner ear is dry and clean and it is the ear flap that's inflamed and gives her the pain and itching. She needs to take the pills for 4 weeks and then we have to stop. After another 2 weeks we'll go back to the dogtor and then we'll see if it is a food allergy or an environmental one. If that's the case she will need an allergy test and then specific daily injections for the rest of her life.... But most important is that she'll have a good life and we'll take care of that! Thank you all for your help and support! |

| That is great news. I hope they can pin down what the allergen is. Glad to hear no surgery.

| It's must feel terrible to be itchy all the time. I hope the meds and ointment work for her and you can pinpoint the exact cause of her allergies threw testing. Feel better real soon Maggie, |
