| Prince is not having a good day today... He's having problems with his collapsed trechea. When we were at the vet's office the last time for a follow-up, he said that Prince may have flare ups from time to time and to give him his Aminophylline as perscribed. I gave him a 1/4 tablet at 6 this morning; he's not wheezing now, but is very sleepy...the medicine is kicking in. I'm watching him and have his doctor on notice.

| I have heard to keep their belly cool. So maybe shave down his underside. Also, when Roxy would have a bad attack, I would steam up the bathroom by filling the tub, door shut and then I would give her a long, long bath |

| I hope the medication Helps Prince feel better. What I've read about this condition is that it can get worse for a dog with age. i know that is what is done with babies, placing them in a bathroom , and letting the steam rise. Maybe a vaporizer/humidifier would help your little man .

| Thank you so much. Prince perked up a little when his dady came home for lunch to check on him. He's sleeping again now though. The meds make him sleepy and thirsty.

| Prince is feeling a lot better now. Unfortunately, CT is life-long.

| I wonder if allergies may be aggravating it? Everything is blooming down here in the South. |

| I hope Prince is feeling better, that is such a helpless feeling when there isn't much you can do for them. My 11 year old has the problem when she gets excited. It started when she was younger because I took her to obedience class and they had me use a choke collar. Being dumb, I listened. Well...... the vet said that may have brought on the problem earlier than it occuring naturally. I feel guilt every time she coughs.

| Clarence has a CT also. His favorite place to lay is belly down on the tile floor! It IS allergy season & with all of the pollen flying around Clare is having a lot of coughing spells. We put the humidifier on for him at night & that helps. |

| Just checking in today to see how prince is doing. I sure hope that he is feeling better. It is so frustrating trying to do the right thing for them; and sometimes not even knowing what that right thing is! I'm sure he is glad that you are so devoted to him. You can tell that he is a much loved member of the family. Best wishes for him today. |

| I'm sorry to hear that Clarene has CT. You're right, pollen season in here!! GA is one of the top 5 places to not be if you are sensitive to allergens. We have not tried using a humidifier yet, but I was just talking about that with my husband last night. We have one and will try it tonight. Thank you so much for your help.
