| Nail problem! So I was giving Hiro a bath and drying him when I noticed that his nail is broken down to the quick! Well.. it looks like the quick anyway. He's been licking it and such... it's not bleeding but looks sore. What should I do? (If anything) --I took him to someone to cut his nails monday. I'm too chicken to do it myself... I think the nail may have been cracked when she cut it. Oi.. The reason I took him to someone was to AVOID doing something like this myself!

| Sometimes the nails will just break off like that, since they can be real brittle. however, you may want to call the vet so it doesn't cause an infection.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The vet can cut it below the split, and if this isn't done the split could reach the base of the nail, causing a lifetime of problems.
