| Yorkie Not Eating or Drinking Reggie woke up this morning and wouldn't eat or drink. He's acted kind of mopey all day. It's now 6:00 pm and he still refuses food or water. I've syringe fed him water a few times and I'm getting ready to give him corn syrup because I don't have any Nutri-Cal and the pet store is closed on a Sunday evening. He isn't throwing up or having diarrhea and as far as I can tell, he isn't running a fever. Any ideas or suggestions would be highly appreciated.

| He's 3 years old, he weighs 9 pounds and his gums are nice and pink. I've tried treats, baby food, a bite of our dinner. He refuses everything.

| He pooped this morning and everything seemed fine until I made their breakfast and he refused it. Thanks for the support. I had decided to ride out the night and go to the vet if he isn't better in the morning. Say prayers for the little guy. I worry about him and he hasn't had any problems in a long time. When he was a baby he used to get an upset tummy but he would throw up and he's not doing that, which is a good thing. have a nice evening.

| He will play a little if I offer his favorite toy. Thanks for all your great suggestions. I'll keep offering him some favorite foods. Pray for a restful evening for both of us.

| Well, I can tell by your signature that you depend on the Heavenly Father above. I so believe in healing and know that He cares about His animals and those that take care of them. I'd like to share an incident with you...Several years ago, my son bought a puppy that developed Parvo and we took her to the vet and they told us all of the horrible stories that go with Parvo. But.....I believe in miracles. I got off by myself, with her and I just happend to have a small bottle of oil. I annointed her and prayed over her. My hubby asked me what I was doing and I told him. I also continued to tell him that I firmly believe that our Heavenly Father cares about the furbabies. Well.....to make a long story short. She is perfectly fine.....her name is Dixie and she is 6 years old and with us today. I give God all the praise & glory for it. I know He healed her. So....rest assured that He cares for your little one and knows exactly what is wrong and can touch it and make it all well. I hope this posting doesn't offend anyone...but I had to share my heart.

| I had a dog do this to me. She had gotten into trash I left out and a week later still wasnt eating. I found a 2 inch chicken bone lodged in the back joint of her jaw between the upper and lower. I got the bone out and she ate like you wouldnt believe. She sustained herself with water and bits of food but I was young and poor, could barely pay rent and feed her so a trip to the vet was out of the question. I would take my finger and run it around his teeth, inside and out to see if something is wrong. |

| How does his nose feel, is it warm and dry or cool and moist? You have to remember, like us, they can feel pretty crappy somedays too. At least he's not real tiny, so if he doesn't eat, it's really not going to hurt him, which is a good thing hes on the bigger size. Hope he gets feeling better |

| Yes, we believe in God and I need to remember to trust that He will take care of my little guy. I've checked Reggie's mouth but it seems clear without any injuries. He did just throw up some foamy yellow bile but I'm sure it's because his stomach is empty. He's had tummy issues off and on since he was little and my other Yorkie can eat almost anything and it doesn't even phase her.

| Hurray!! All better this morning! I wanted to give everyone an update. Reggie slept through the night and this morning was thirsty, hungry and he peed and pooped. All systems seem to be functioning well. I guess his tummy just felt off yesterday or he had gas. Thanks especially to Marcerella for all your support when I was starting to really worry. Hugs and have a blessed day everyone!
