| my dog is having difficulty breathing... this morning, i noticed my dog was breathing very hard....it was like he had to force out his next breath. He was very lethargic, where as he is normally is very playful and active. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen before, and what they did to help. |

| Is he better now? Trouble breathing is an emergency. Did you take him to the vet? Welcome to YT.

| I hope he is better by now. I would have rushed him to an emergency clinic. I sure hope he is ok.

| If this happened this morning, how is he now? Is he still having breathing problems? How old is he? How big is he? |

| I know it is a horrible day for an emergency but with trouble breathing, it is possible that you could lose him. If you search the internet for vets in your area, a list will come up and somebody within an hour or two will be on call. It wouldn't be safe to wait til morning.

| Do you have a 24 hour emergency clinic available? If it were me and there was no clinic, I think I would try taking him into a warm, steamy bathroom and see if it helped his breathing. But I would want to see what others say about it first because I really have no idea what might help and what might hurt him. Hopefully someone will have a good answer for you. I would be scared to death to let him go through the night like that.

| We live in out in the country and all of the vets in our area have a 24 hour emergency phone number. I'd call a vet and get some suggestions on what to do. I wouldn't wait any longer......let us know what happens. |

| Difficulty breathing is an emergency. It can be a sign of poisoning. This is not something that can wait until the morning. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Oh my goodness, they dont' have any emergency hospitals around there. You need to find one. Could also be a collapsed lung. I really hope he is okay. I would be freaking and driving to an Emergency hospital even if I had to drive hours. I hope all is okay with your baby! |
