| Buffy Hi, I want to let everyone know that my 7 yr old yorkie, Buffy, has been diagnosed with bone cancer. It is osteosarcoma in the ribs. I am soooo heartbroken. My precious little angel. I cannot bear the pain. I have had her to 3 different dr's, and they all say the same. They can do surgery and chemo, but it will come back. She is on pain meds, and mostly she sleeps. Have any of you had any experience with this or know anyone that has, or know anything about it? Please, I welcome any comments. Please pray for my baby. Thank you, Dottie |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i am so sorry to hear your yorkie has this at such a young age and in such a horrible spot. I wouldn't put your baby through surgery since its on the ribs there's really nothing that can be done surgical to get clean margins. Go to an oncologist and see what they can do with chemo or radiation. i'm so sorry.

| Thank you for the suggestion. I have seen an oncologist, besides the films I had already had done, he did more. He also said that surgery wouldn't help. He said she already has another spot on her shoulder blade. My heart hurts so bad. He said that infusion therapy could give her maybe 7 to 9 mos. I will not let her suffer. As much as I love her and want her to stay with me, I love her to much to see her suffer. She has been really sick this last week with cystitis. She was in such pain that her body was trembling. She wouldn't eat. She drank very little water, and slept most of the time. She has two different pain meds. She feels a little better today. I will not let her go through this with the cancer. Thank you so much for your caring comment. |
