| Is my yorkie the only one without a nose? Now I am trying to see if theres anyone else out there who has a yorkie without a nose?! I don't even know where to start with this but somehow will have to learn to deal with it. She's still beautiful to me, I love her so much and am hoping this doesn't affect her way of life or life span in any way. She had serve chemical burns on her face, inside of her mouth and nose. The nose took it the worst I guess because now that it is finally healing the black part of a dogs nose is gone. It is bacially an open sore, it is well on it's way to healing but she looks a little odd. I just hate that now going out with her I will be explaining the story of what happen to her nose! It hasn't affected her smelling, I don't even think she knows it's gone, she acts normal and sniff's around. I guess we will have to wait and see! |

| She is going to be okay. It happen two weeks ago on Wed. She had got into Nair and had serve chemical burns. It is now finally healing and the scabs started to fall off and reveal the damage done. Everything has healed nicely except the nose. I am glad that her eye is okay because she could of gotten in so easily in her erye and damaged her sight. The nose has a little more healing to do because she constantly licks it like every other dog so this is why she is on antibiotics again for another 10 days, we go for a check up on the weekend to see how it's healing. Theres a little piece of skin or whatever that was attached to the scab that was ontop of her nose, it is now kinda hanging a little bit that will need to be removed. Vet said once it is healed they will have to cut this little bit off. I feel so horrible and really starting to beat myself up now. I keep trying to tell myself it could of been worse, I could of lost her, they wanted to put her down, this is a miracle she is okay and healthy. Dogs get accidents and lose legs sometimes or even here a dog had it's ears cut off by a bad owner, my baby will still be MY baby. I just hope people don't look at her rude which I am sure I may get bad stares |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Poor baby. I am so glad she is on the road to recovery. She will always be extra special. I think people will ask because they are curious not to be rude. You can look at it as warning others what can happen when our babies get into things they shouldn't. Don't be hard on yourself it can happen to any of us. They are so quick to get into things.

| thank you it's just in my nature to try and blame myself now but this does make me feel better to know that at least now I can tell people the dangers of this stuff. I will be calling the company again because this product is not just bad for people and skin irritations but can SERIOUSLY injure an animal. When I called them that day to ask they had no information to share, they said we don't know what happens with animals and this product. Now my dog has no nose! |
