| Best treatment for diarrhea...HELP!!! Ace has had diarrhea for the past 4 days and I can't figure out what's causing it. He's not acting himself, he's just being lazy all day. Any suggestions? |

| Have you taken him to the vet for a stool sample? Could be an intestinal parasite of some sort... I've heard a tiny bit of pure canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling) can help firm up a stool, but if there's something causing it like a parasite it won't help for long, and it'll just mask the symptoms until he gets even worse, assuming it works at all. Donating YT 10K Club Member | Is the diarrhea liquid or blood tinged? After 4 days it's possible he needs to have fluids replaced. The vet can give him an IV of fluid. I agree you need to have a fecal test performed. Feeding a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice can help and include a tablespoon of plain pumpkin per day.

| He needs to see a vet after 4 days of diarrhea. They should check his stool, so if you take a sample, they won't have to take it from him...

| Please get him to the vet. These little guys can go dowhill so quickly, it's not even funny. Ranger had to be rushed to the ER after having mild diarhea for 24 hrs. I think it happened four times in those 24 hours, and he had to be on fluids for 2 days. It's not worth it. Pepto is always good to help, but it does not solve the main problem in many cases. I wouldn't use it until the vet has checked him and ok'd it.
