Donating YT 500 Club Member | Guinness McLovin's at the vet too, fever, diarrea and vomiting I'm so scared. He had diarrea this morning and dh had cleaned it up and let him outside while he was doing that. I left for work not knowing it was diarrea, sometimes he still has accidents and I just wasn't thinking straight. I called Rick on the way to work and he asked for the vets number, he was vomiting and his stools had blood. Guinness who is always very excited in the mornings was just laying on his bed I came home, bathed him and when he was dry loaded him in the car and got to the vet just in time for them to open, they are so great. He wants me to call at 11 to get an update, so I have an hour, but I know that he has a temperature of 103 and his stool is sticky, so they are running a culture. I'm so nervous My son was sick all last week with fever and congestion, my mom's dog had fever and was vomitting due to ear infections, so I'm just not knowing what's next.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Sounds like it could be some kind of bug, perhaps. I'm sorry he's sick! But you took care of him so quickly and it sounds like he's in great hands, so I bet he'll be diagnosed and on the mend, and BACK in your arms in no time. I know you're worried - I'm thinking of you and Guiness. HUGS.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Oh I hope Leo is okay ! I just called and he's had no more episodes, so I can probably take him home this evening, it's likely he was just sick with a virus or something. If anything changes they will let me know. Thanks guys. I'd just lose it if something happened to him

Donating YT 500 Club Member | HE'S HOME!! the vet was so silly he said, I think he's starving and showed me how Guinness ate through the little bit of food in his dish right then. the tech was laughing, cause it's just how he eats, he does it ALL the time, he's a porker and he's not gained or lost any weight since his last visit, he's a good 10.5 lbs! Hardly starving LOL The stool sample isn't back but he hadn't had anymore issues and was keeping fluids and food down so he let me bring him home, he's been acting more like himself, glad to be home and he said he would call me with results tomorrow. He treated him with fluids/antibiotics and some other meds and he's doing great. Thank you so much! Guinness is just a very boisterous being in our home and when he's not feelig well, we ALL know about it.
