| sick puppy? Hello to all. I'm new to this, so bare with me! After many years of wanting a yorkie- I finally got one! I am a proud parent of a 6 month old registered male. I got Max when he was 8 weeks old and have fell totally head over heals! My concern is just in the last 2 weeks Max has vomited about 4 times. This happens all of a sudden- he will sometimes make a burping noise. This doesn't happen while eating or shortly after. It usually occurs about an hour afterward. He seems to vomit a lot of volume, the contents of the vomit consists of both undigested/digested dog food and liquid. This hasn't affected his personality, appetite, or energy. I don't know if he is just eating too fast, drinking too much water, or if this is cause for concern. Any suggestions! |

| I'm sorry to hear your pup hasn't been feeling well. May I ask what kind of food he's eating?

| Strange. Don't really have any advice I can give. I hope you can find something out. Have you thought of bringing him to the vet? Is he keeping weight on?

| Is Max one that will chew on anything!? A lot of issues with puppies vomitting can be from foregin bodies---they can ingest toys, strings, carpet, pebbles, anything, and this can make them throw up. Even if he is still acting fine, I would really take him to the vet to see if they can do xrays to make sure he didnt ingest something he shouldnt have. when I worked for a vet, we had a 6 month old doxie come in with the same symptons, and turned out he swolled a stone! if you dont think he got into anything, he may just eat really fast, and it can cause him to vomit up food. If he really eats fast, you can try putting less food in his bowl, or even adding a tennis ball so he has to work around it, making him slow down eating. I hope this stops soon, but if you think something could have happened, call the vet asap!!!!!

| He is eating Eukanuba for yorkies. He's not one to eat anything. He hasn't lost any weight. But we did recently move into a new home, just started happening since we have been in the new house. I wonder also if it could be nerves. But he doesn't act scared or nervous. |

Try cooking him some white rice and hamburger. See if that will help him keep food down. It will help settle his tummy too. If that still doesn't work i would def take him to the vet.
