| Update on Bella's surgery... Poor little Belliebooboo...she's got a knot right beside her incision that looks really abnormal to me. I think maybe she's done something to herself in the inside. The incision is all raised. She's got to go back to the...as Marci would say....dogter this afternoon. I hope it's not infected

| Ellie's incision gave her a terrible time. It was all bumpy underneath and one of them got very large (probably over half the size of a marble). There were red spots a centimeter away from her incision. Two of her staples twisted. It drained a bit. Her incision was very long because she had a liver biopsy also... I think the vet may have used staples to close faster. Anyway, Bella does need to be seen but it might not be as bad as you are thinking, so hang in there. By the way, Ellie's ended up being just fine and healed nicely.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh, poor punkin'! Shoot. The cardinal signs of infection are: pain, redness, heat, and swelling. It could be just a minor, local infection - or they may have to re-do some stitching or something. Or, it could just be some excess swelling. Either way...poor girl . LOTS of hugs to her. Update when you can - we'll be thinking of her, Denise.

| She was spayed on Monday...and was doing fine up until this morning. We went to the vet this afternoon. He said that the incision looked ok, that the knot was a sub...something, but it wasn't a problem. He gave her an antiobiotic that will clear up the diahrrea and kill any infection if there happens to be any, but he didn't think so. He also gave her a round of worming meds just incase that might be the problem. He tried to get a sample, but couldn't. I gave her the antibiotics a couple of hours ago, and she seems like she's perked up a bit. Thank you all for your concern. Bella sends her kisses!
