| Miles gave me a scare last night... Miles is 6 months old now, and with the exception of kennel cough when I got him, he has been perfectly healthy. At about 11:00 last night, he started throwing up...6 times in 20 minutes. If that wasn't enough to scare me, it wasn't "normal" vomit...it smelled and looked like it should have been coming out the other end, if you know what I mean (sorry, it sounds so vulgar). Thinking back on it, he had been a little less energetic than normal yesterday. Needless to say, I called the 24 pet hospital, and they told me to get him in right away. They mentioned something about an intestinal blockage...I was so scared. I had read about that happening to other dogs, and it can be so dangerous. So I got him there, they took xrays (which are not cheap, btw!)...and it turns out, my dog was just completely constipated! Looking at the xray, it was ridicuous...it's like the entire back half of his body was full of you-know-what! I felt like such a bad owner! I feel like I should have noticed that something was off, but he had actually pooped that day--it was small--but he had pooped! Just a warning as to how fast these little guys can get backed up! He will be eating pumpkin on a more regular basis now! |

| Aww, you aren't a bad owner. Things happen. I hope he is doing better.
