| sick puppy My puppy has loose stool and it looks a little pink. I do not know if she ate something or not. I do know that I leave them in a room and use a room seperator that they was chewing on. She has also chewed on her potty pads, What can I do. I can not get into the vet until tomorrow. she is almost 11 weeks and she weighs 1 1/2 pounds. She is shaking like when someone is sick to their stomach. PLEASE Help. |

At her weight, at her age - I would go to the vet ASAP! Since she is shaking right at this very moment - give her Nutrical or Karo syrup or honey or pancake syrup immediately and then water, but then go to a vet right away.

| I have to agree. Your pup is way too small and way too young to wait. Maybe another vet in your area has an opening today? Shaking could mean low blood sugar or possibly pain...

| I will be taking her in 1 hour that is the only time I could get her in. I gave her pedi lite and a little maple syrup. I will let you all know. Should I get a stool sample? |

Then the vet can decide if they want to test it.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Make sure you record the time of the stool sample. Put it in a plastic bag, put that bag inside another. Just keep at room temp. Write the time on the bag.

| She seems to be doing better, no more loose stools, the smear came up norm, but the vet said to bring in a sample because it is sometimes hard to tell with a smear, for sure it is neg if it was positive then we would know it was positive, but a better to have a stool sample, so I will bring him one tomorrow and he put her on some antidiarrea and vitamins. Thanks everyone |
