| Yorkie Teeth ! I've been a new yorkie owner for 8 months now. Everything is going great ! Til now... My yorkie is now 9 month and still has his baby teeth, the problem is that his new teeth are growing right next to it. Should i wait to see if they fall out? or that should have happened already? I've heard that their teeth don't fall out, is it true? Thanks for the help |

| It would probably be a good idea to take him to the vet and have this checked out. Normally the teeth will fall out but once in a while they do have to be pulled. Also, it is a very good idea to have your little Yorkie have a "dental" at least once a year starting at around a year old. Just check out a number of vet's in your area to check on the cost. In my area, I can have an excellent "dental" done for $40.00. But my sister lives in Oregon and it cost her $400 to have her little dog's teeth cleaned - both are done the same way! Best of luck! |

No Longer a Member | My baby Chloe had the same thing happen to her. We bought her 2 1/2 months ago and she is 9 months old. She had 2 baby teeth that never fell out and we had to have them extracted. It cost around $23.00 each. We had them done when she was spayed so she wouldn't feel any pain. We are still waiting for her permanent teeth to come in. I hope this helps. |

| If you are having your dog spayed, have the baby teeth extracted at the same time. Usually if they dont fall out by a year old, then they wont.
