| tick bite I just discovered a tick on my 9 year old yorkie last week. My husband and I removed the tick careful to get the entire head removed. Since then, there has been a small pimple like bump where the tick had bitten. The area looks almost exactly like a pimple with a small black dot in the center. The area looks a little red around the bump in the last few days. I researched this on the internet and some advice gathered is to apply a warm compress and monitor the area for signs of infection. I've also been applying an ointment to the area. Has anyone experienced this with their yorkie? His appetite and energy level seems to be the same as before the bite. He is on Revolution for fleas and ticks. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | One of our dogs in my neighborhood had a tick last year on his neck and it left a pimple like thing and never went away. The vet had said it was nothing to worry about.
