| HELP!!! Izzy threw up for the 1st time Izzy is now about 3 months old. She has been the PERFECT puppy!! Very active, playful, and loving. Today when I got home, we played our normal rountine, then I put her down to play with her toys. While she was laying at my feet (she wore herself out) I heard her, and looked down. SHE WAS THROWING UP!!! It scared me to death!!! I have had one puppy a while back that had parvo, so of course these are the first thoughts to come to my head. Anyways...her throw up was yellow (almost like mustard) and had chunks of her food in it. It smelled just like her food...not like puke. I did find out that my oyfriend had given her a piece of his hotdog, but this isn't the first time and she only ate one bite. Should I be worried? Should I take her to the vet? Should I wait and see if she does it again? Does it mean anything since it was yellow? Since she threw up, she has just wanted to lay around and nap. Is that normal?? Sorry for all the rambling, but this puppy is my first yorkie and is like a CHILD to me!! Thanks in advance for the help.......... |

| I'm sorry nobody has answered your question. I think this is a difficult question because it would be wrong to say not to take a puppy that has thrown up to the vet. Then again, it only happened once and all seems fine. To be on the safe side, I would suggest that you call your vet and ask them what to do. And the hot dog causing it is a possibility.

| Thank you both for the kind words. I never did get in touch with the vet, but Izzy has been fine today!! I think that she may have eaten too much. I noticed that all of her dry food was gone as well as the small amount of wet food she gets. She usually doesn't eat it all in one day, but yesterday she must have..... |

| Her tummy could have been upset by eating all of her food at once. As long as she is fine today, then she will be ok. I know how you feel about your puppy. They depend on us to take care of them every step of the way. I love my Suzi dearly, and always worry about her health. Just keep up with the vet visits and vaccinations. She will be fine

| Sam puked yellow gunk on my pillow this morning because her tummy was empty. Unfortunately, it's normal.
