| greenish discharge in right eye georgi is my 4 month old baby girl... she has been discharging this greenish puss from her right eye that pools in her lower eye-lid. she does not appear to have scratched her eye as she keeps it open and is still playful. Any advice? |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | My cocker gets that all the time - We use a special antibiotic ointment when it gets bad - your vet will know immediately if it needs treatment Also - make sure the eye is hair free - the hair can irratate it - but your baby could have a little infection - I would get it looked at. We also flush my cockers eyes with sterile water - the vet said to do this and it really helps - on cockers it's easy to see the red - on yorkies - I believe you'd have to lift up the lid to see if it's inflamed - if it is - I'd make an appointment - it's probably very minor but better safe than sorry...Good luck |

| It sounds like some infection and I am sure your vet can diagnosis correctly.

| My poodle Candie did that once and it was a scratch. She didn't keep her eye closed or anything either. The vet stained the eye and used some kind of light to see it. It was a pretty bad scratch but with the antibiotics it was better in no time. I would take her in and get it checked out. Keep us posted. Hope she is better soon. |

| Chelsey has a little infection in her eyes, the vet gave me a tube of Cavasan ointment to put in her eyes 3 times a day, it looked a little inflamed, so to be on the safe side i took her to the vet, after using it for 2 days, her eyes look just fine again!
