| help a sick angel hi ,I really need some help my baby is Rylee,my mom has Angel she is 15 weeks old Rylee is 10 weeks old.They are great they bring such joy & laughter to our lives!Angel is very sick my mom is devistaded, angel stopped eating good 2 days ago, she would not eat anything today or yesterday mom said she was so weak she could barely stand up.our vet gave her an IV & a tube of something like toothpaste comes in ,its really high in calories. my mom took her back today the vet said they think it's her liver.mom said shes bobbing her little head up & down.we are all so scared,she was just over at my house sunday playing & running w/ Rylee & my kids.can they be ok & then just get so sick in a few days.please pray for her & let us know if you have heard of these symptoms. thank you : |

| Oh, dear. It does sound like Angel may have a liver shunt. Unfortunately, they are more common in Yorkies than all other breeds. I've attached a link for you about liver shunts: Portosystemic Shunts FAQ |

| Lets pray it's noting more than just having a bad tummy ache from eating something she shouldn't. I've never known one to get that sick that fast if it's liver shunt. Did the Vet. run a bile acid test? |

| I do hope it isn't liver shunt. But it also sounds like she had a hypoglycemic episode. The "high calorie" stuff in the tube is nutrical and you can get it at any pet supply store (petsmart). It is used to help with hypoglycemia.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Poor baby. Hopefully her symptoms are more from not eating and not a liver shunt. I would contact the breeder and let her know if you haven't already. She may be of some help too. I will keep her in my prayers
