| Awww, poor baby! Do you know how it happened? I say as long as the cut is not showing any sign of infection, it's probably okay to just treat it at home with a little antibiotic ointment Just keep it clean and he should be just fine He's not having any other symptoms is he? Like he hit his head or something?

| did you have a bow on him ? it could have pulled out the hair - OR - does he have a fence or something he peeks thru ? When my husband and I moved into our house way back when - Chanel cut her little head on a nail sticking out on the fence that I missed when I did a fence check - I felt terrible and rushed her to the vet when I saw it - she was just fine ....it was ME that wasn't....

| wow. WERIDEST thing.. Layla had that too! one day I just NOTICED it and thus had NO idea where it came from. For about 2-3 months i'd say it scabbed and then healed and scabbed and then healed. I brought her to the vet who thought it was from her hair clip which made me fee AWFUL! Her hair has never grown back there... but that little bald spot is how i know she is mine ![]() |

| Could she have been scratching ? If a dog scratches in the same place too long then it is possible she could have got it from that. I do not know if there is a first aid spray you could put on her cut, to protect her from infection. She is not in any pain is she? I think you can treat her injury at ho me

| Marcel + Wylie = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If it's a surface wound, I wouldn't worry too terribly - as long as it's not really swollen and/or really red (or, expanding red) around the edges. I'd clean it with some lukewarm water by just dabbing it, pat dry - then put some antibiotic ointment on it. It should scab over in a day or 2. ![]()
