pup is vomiting... Suzi has had two eposodes already of vomiting out of nowhere. She is hungry, and playful. But why can't she hold food down? I am getting scared now. AND it is too late to take her to the vet. She wants to play, and does not act ill? I can't let her go on too long this way? Poor pup, this morning she was trying to puke, but it came up like spit. NOW she did it again just after she ate What is causing this? DID she get into something bad? I hope to god she wil be ok

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Has she been able to keep anything down today? Has she been drinking water? To settle her tummy quickly, I'd even try giving her a soda cracker or two right away and see if she can keep a simple carb down. Start there. If you have any rice, cook some up and try that as well (or, canned potatoes). If she is still vomiting in the a.m. - go to the vet.

ok, thank u. She has been drinking water, and is acting fine, just that her tummy is bothering her It is the first time this has happened and I am real upset. I hate this, and feel so bad, that she has to go through this.

You could try some Pepto-Bismol to settle her stomach. I use about 1 cc per 3 pounds of weight. Try feeding her some boiled chicken with rice. The rice will help soak up the stomach bile. With vomiting or diarrhea, you have to watch out for dehydration. Is this a puppy or adult? If you feel she is in distress, don't hesitate to call the vet but if you don't feel that it's an emergency situation, you can try the Pepto and then try getting some chicken and rice down her. If her stomach is really upset, it may be a while before she wants to eat but don't let her go too long before eating. Hope she's feeling better soon.

It is odd that we Yorkie owners out here in California have sick little dogs... I think, and hope she is ok. I did give her chicken and rice, she ate it, and was okay! She is drinking water too, and playing in it lol. I just do not get it, as to why she had this happen to her in the first place? She seemed so fine, then first thing in the am, was vomiting. She is suppose to go to the vet on Wed. pm. I hope we can wait till then, but, if not, I'll go with her at any time of the day.
