| Exploratory Neutering Hello guys, I am wondering how many of you had have any experience with this type of procedure, It's called an exploratoty neutering and It's done when one of the male testicles does not drop.

| My friend's dog had to have this. I turned out to be very expensive! But you can't leave the undescended testicle or it could turn cancerous.

"Because the retained testicle is 13 times more likely to develop a tumour, it should always be removed." (quote from site above) Just google "retained testicles" or "cryptorchidism" in dogs.

Donating YT Addict | when I was vet tech many moons ago we saw this more than you'd think. It's more complicated than a routine neuter but no more than say a spay. Usually the testicle can be found pretty easily. I wouldn't worry to to much but yes the cost will be more along the lines of a spay rather than a neuter I'd think..

| I recently had a 10 month old boy neutered that had one testicle and the cost was around $150. He did very well. He spent one night at the vets after being neutered and he came home acting like nothing had happened to him. |
