| Please help! In need of opinions! So I posted a thread on here a while back about Lily having kennel cough, and she still has it after more than a month now. She did Clavomox for about 2 weeks, and then my vet put her on Primor and some cough tablets. Well, she had a bad reaction to the Primor (diarrhea and vomiting and pink urine) so we're back on the Clavomox. My vet said if this round of the Clavomox doesn't do anything (and I don't think it is) then she wants to do a tracheal wash because Lily probably has some resistant bacteria. However, I'm concerned that she's so little and still a baby (3.5 pounds)--is this necessary? She eats and drinks and PLAYS so well. Should I let her go off the Clavomox after this round and give it a couple weeks to try to clear on its own and let her immune system have a chance to fight it, or should I go ahead with the wash? Who has had experience with a tracheal wash before?

| I had one with kennel cough and the clavamox did no good at all. Finally, the vet put her on Temaril and it cleared up in days. |
