| my first post & sick pup... I think!! Help help help.. Im going to the vet tonight but for the past 4 days Max has been sneezing and coughing.. I know that dogs cant get a cold like people but maybe he has kennel Cough?? When he sneezes water / snot comes out of his little nose.. Its clear with no discoloring. Will he be ok? I have always had big dogs in my life and this is the first time we have a small breed. He seems ok even with the sneezing.. He eat plenty of food.. Too much actually and drink lots of water.. His poop is solid and no worms in it.. He plays around but gets tired fast I guess compared to what a bigger dog would.. Any comments are welcome to what could be wrong with Max |

| it could possibly be allergies - do you have pollen or new things blooming? The vet visit is an excellent idea. Welcome to YT! This is a great site for yorkie lovers

| It sounds like allergies. Could be pollen as he sneezes in grass, or it could even be something you use in the home, cleaning products etc. |

| we to the vet again yesterday and he got 2 more shots. WE also got some pills for his cough, he has to take 1/2 tab every day and he got some Frontline as we noticed he has tiny ticks around his ear. ( i thought Frontline was only for fleas!!!) Poor guy!!!! Last night he was ok. He went peepers and poopers outside and this morning I found just 1 poop in the kitchen. But when I left for work this morning he started to vomit. Since then he has vomited 3 times and have not had any breakfast. Usually he is starving in the morning. I have decided to take away his food for now and just leave him some water with a little sugar in it. I feel its too early to take him to the vet again as it might be a reaction to his pills. He did eat 1/2 a pill this morning with some liverpate and 30 min later he started vomiting. Any comments??? |

| Rice? cool I have left overs from the other day. I will give that to him... According to my wife he has been stone cold out sleeping that past 2 hours... I actually went up this morning around 4AM to drink some water and I noticed that Max is a real night prince.. He was walking around the living room when I walked by and came running greeting me good night or good morning.. Gee I really hope he will feel better soon... |

| chicken broth is also a great way to keep the hydrated and my vet suggested that recently for mine Hope he is feeling better real soon - a call to the vet about the vomiting is a good idea to. Hope it's not now a reaction to the shots

| Looks like Max is back in action. Since last night he has been a real happy camper.. Super lots of energy especially after I gave him a little syrup.. This stuff works on these little guys. He doesnt eat as much as he used to but there is a clear difference in him now. He is very alert.. Tail wiggles, constant biting in EVERYTHING thats near him.. Was chasing his play sock for the first time since we got him and outside he is super sniffing all the grass and trees.. So nice to see my boy feeling good!! |
