| Does this sound like allergies? So yesterday on our walk, Meeka smelt something in someone's lawn and then started sneezing non-stop. Every since then she was been sneezing every once and a while, but she has also developed a mucus type cough. It sounds like the noises she makes right before she vomits (which she does on rare occasions), but she hasn't vomited to date. She seems very uneffected by it, doesn't have a fever, and will even pick up her bone to play in the middle of a coughing fit. Has anyone who's been through allergies had a similar experience? If so, how much Benadryl should I give a 4.8 lb yorkie? |

| Hey! where in Canada are you? The sneezing is probably allergies and so is the coughing. However if it continues you might want to go to the vet and make sure it isn't kennel cough- which sounds kinda like a hack... it reminds me of right before they throw up and kinda like a goose honking anways. Children's Liquid Dye Free Benedryl. Layla is 6 lbs and I give her 1 ml. You could probably give her 1/2 a ml. See if you can go to a drug store and get a pharmacist to give you an eye dropper with measurements on it. That's where i got mine. It was free- I got it at a Shopper Drug Mart. Also keep in mind it might knock her RIGHT out and she will be very sleepy. |
