|  Please Pray for my Little Mattie I am asking for everyone to pray for my Little Mattie. Today she was acting kinda wierd and I went to the doctor and came home and my Husband said to look at her. Well I went to get her out of her bed and she was wobbly (hard to explain) her head was wobbling back and forth and she couldn't stand up.. I grabbed her and took her to my vets. Thank God I got there before she closed for the holiday weekend. My vet took blood test an everything came back normal except it showed she was a little dehydrated. She then took an xray and said everything was okay except she had a enlarged heart. For her size it was really big. She said she didn't see any lesions or anything. But she suspected Liver shunt. She gave her fluid under her skin and has her on antibiotics. Mattie will have a Mri and ultrasound of her stomach to see if she does have liver shunt or a brain lesion. I am beside myself..I have been crying all day. I feel so bad. So far just what they did today was $500.00. The test tuesday will be another $500.00. If she has liver shunt then surgery will be another 3 grand or more. So will have to wait till tuesday about the test and what comes of it. I am just devistated. My little girl may not make it. | My little Brooke was wobbly also and it came on suddenly. She had a normal blood panel and then she had an MRI which showed that she had GME, Granulomatous Meningioencephalitis, an inflammatory brain disease. It is a fairly rare disease but is being diagnosed more and more in toy dogs. If she doesn't have a liver shunt please check for this. If she has GME please PM me for the best doctor for GME, it could save Mattie's life like it did Brooke's. Good luck, I really hope it isn't either of these 2 diseases.

| Brenda sweetheart I am so sorry to hear this, it just breaks my heart and I have been crying my eyes out, remembering when Boo-Boo was the same. He has liver shunt and they couldn't fix it with the surgery so he is now on a very strict diet, but he is doing well with no seisures for about 7 months. So even if Mattie has liver shunt she will be ok either with surgery or with a very strict diet with low protein. I have spent more than 6 thousand pounds with Boo-Boo already but knowing he is ok now, it's the best money I could have ever spent. I am keeping you and Mattie in my prayers and hope everything will be ok. Please have faith in God and she'll be ok. Please keep us posted on what is happening. Boo-Boo said that his girlfriend Mattie will get better real soon(he knows that, as he will never let anything bad happen to her) He sends sweet doggy kisses and wishes her a very speedy recovery. I wuv yu Mattie yu are my gurfruend and I am not gona allow anthing bad hapen to yu.

(and it did show to be HUGE on the x-ray) - - but they are not normally experienced with babies the size of our Natalie and Mattie.... so in their tiny bodies, EVERYTHING looks oversized. Hold tight to your faith..... even with an enlarged heart, these little guys can do very well with medication and live long healthy lives. I'll be sending up extra healing prayers for your little angel baby that she does well with all of her testing.... and I'll be holding on to the hope that she just got a little hypoglycemic or has some type of bug that's bringing her down....
