| may possibly need help? I left a small styrofoam plate with food in my babies' playpen while at dinner, as I always do, and she tore it up while I was gone. She is only 2 lbs and may have possibly eaten some of the pieces. She is acting fine, running around as usual, eating, and urinating ok - do you think this is something I need to worry about? I think I found most pieces but it was torn to shreds and it's hard to tell. Do you think it might possibly cause an obstruction or might tear her intestines? Any advice is appreciated! Thanks. |

| Oh boy, that's not good. You need to keep a close eye on her and be prepared to get to the VET as she may have a problem. |

| I would watch her closely to make sure she is pooping and watch for it in her stool to make sure she is passing it okay. If she stops eating or drinking and her tummy feels hard, I would take her to the vet, as it could be an obstruction. I hope she is okay!

| I hope she is OK, also. It is best not to feed on dishes that are plastic, paper or syrofoam. Even sturdy plastic can harbor bacteria over time. This was told to me by my vet.

| Gulty Or Not!! Perhaps she might poop it out, but keep a close eye on her... During the Holidays I always keep Hershey's Kisses in candy dishes on our coffee table... But one night we stepped out and when I returned there were no candy in the dish... I swore I saw candy there before I left, at least 6-7 pieces... Gizmo kept on giving me this guilty look, and his breath smelled sweet... Oh, Boy... Did he really do that... I know chocolate is poisonous for them, so was very concerned... I kept an eye on his poop... You wouldn't belive it unless you saw it with your own eyes... I squished his poop, and surely there it was, foil wrapper in between... I found foil in his poop for 3-4 days... I no longer keep candy on my coffee table... He is so smart, when he sees the candy dish, he sniffs for candy... I'll tell ya, he really knows how to use his paws... |

| Well it has been 36 hours and she seems fine. I guess she just wanted to tear the plate up because she has pooped several times and I have looked for white specks and not seen any....she must have been mad that we left! Everything else about her seems perfectly normal - I guess you learn something new with these babies every day - no more styrofoam plates - EVER! Thanks for all of your help. |
