Default Cosmo was attacked by neighbors dog

I was hesitant to post on here after what happened a few weeks ago but here goes...

Today, while I was at the store, Cosmo was in our backyard doing his stuff..and our neighbors dog and him started barking at each other..the neighbors dog attacked him through the hole in the fence. He grabbed his head and had it in his mouth..when I got home my family had cleaned him up but he still has a few scars and is shaking in fear. If I touch him under his chin he growls at me. Hes not bleeding anymore, hes just laying down. Oh, thought I might add...he never did apologize..what did he say? he said that we should put a new fence. Meanwhile, the fence is on OUR property.

I'm glad that Cosmo is ok, I hope he is able to overcome this. Were the wounds serious enough to go to the vet? Maybe you should even take him if the other dog drew blood. Definitly file a police report, so that way if this neighbor becomes an @$$ they know that he already has been a problem, and your animal control if this dog is aggressive.

Give Cosmo lots of kisses! Rocky and Bella send him get well wishes!

Oh no! I'm so sorry, how scary! Maybe a quick trip to the vet is in order if he won't let you touch him? If he's growling at you, he's clearly in some kind of pain. You're very lucky that fence was between them! I would be so angry at the neighbour — if you do take him to the vet, be sure to send them the bill!

He doesn't have any really really bad scratches..they're all superficial, not bleeding anymore. He is just very traumatized.

Awww, Cosmo. You poor little guy. I hope this doesn't aggrivate your last injury. Watch his neck, Monkie, and if anything starts happening, get him to the vet pronto. Give him a big hug from all of us. How is your leg? I sent you a msg a while ago. Hope you are feeling better by now.

Default what a jerk

well, if the fence is on your property, his dog was tresspassing....and he is liable for his dog...right? Get a police report, so it is documented.

Does your city have restraining laws?????????????????

I'm SO sorry hun! I can't believe how horrible your neighbor was to you about the situation! What an a**! I agree with some of the others ... file a report about it! I will be praying for your little bby.

I agree!! You should report it, in case it happens again to yours or others!! Hope Cosmo recovers mentally and physically!

First of all I just want to send Cosmo a hug and say I hope he is ok and second I would definitely call the Police because it has nothing to do with the fence...the owner is still responsible for their dogs behavior. An aggressive dog only grows more aggressive if not corrected and the next animal or even child he attacks might not be as lucky as Cosmo was!

There could be puncture wounds that you are not aware of. They could become infected. I probably would have a vet check. (IMO) It could just be very sensitive because of bruising. Your call. Good luck.
