| Surviving Parvovirus It turns out that Harry may have had or is having Parvovirus and this comes on top of his complications with surgery. Do any of you folks know if my boy Harry can survive a bout with this bad stuff? He is still in the emergency care in Mandeville, LA. Thanks for any help |

| I grew up with many dogs.... years ago vaccines were not as commonly used i guess, regularly and all... Anyways, i saw many dogs and puppies with parvo , not really in my home but around it.... I saw a few recover from it.... My dad was the one that forbided us from "noseing up" too much on this cases, specially because we always had dogs and puppies around so he was extra carefull not to allow us have much contact with the neighboors dogs, But i heard the "parvo big word" many many times and remember how sad people were to describe it.... But i also remember great smilles on my dads face when someone was telling him that such and such dog survived Parvo.... I learned a lot about dogs with my dad, and he has this theory of some dogs have a better way of fighting the disease than others... So keep your hopes as now days there are so much that the vets can do to help the dogs recover and give them support.... Besides, many times, many things may look like parvo and ends up being something else. It is no longer a common disease among domestic dogs, very rarelly are reports of it... So keep your hopes up.... and pray and know that it is possible to recover , yes, i am a witness... If it will help you out : the bigger lesson i learned from my dad and the way he treated our animals is that "everyone deserves a chance!!!!" He never gave up on a puppy or a dog, we never do... we hope, support and do all we can untill the very end.... sometimes the end is not what we expect, but many times , i mean , many many times, we have a beautifull surprise at the end !!!! I sure hope that will be your case !!!! XOXOXOX

| Recovered from parvo hello, don't worry, yes your dog will have a chance to recover. Please don't give up on ur dog. i have a 6 months yorkie puppy. when she was 2 months old (after i got her for 3 days) i found out she had parvo. She was very sick and she only has 1.8 bls. Vet said she have a very low chance to live. But we didn't give up after 8 days in vet office and spent $1300, she recovered!! and now she is a very playful, health puppy. yea!! just make sure she has her IV on and keep ur dog at Vet's office. all the best!!! |

| Praying for your poor bby in hopes that it's not parvo. If it is, I'm very, very sorry! But I've read a lot of success stories about dogs getting parvo, so do not give up! Your bby can survive this! You & your bby will be in my thoughts & prayers. Please keep us updated! -Amy
