| Liver Biopsy Well, I was going to get Lulu spayed about a month ago but her blood work came back as low glucose & her bile acids are pre 67 & post 28(we ran this test twice as the results are odd). Anyways, our specialist suspects mild-moderate liver disease & suggests that we go ahead with the spay & they'll do a liver biopsy at the same time. I think I'm okay with this as it's a hospital & the surgeon seems to the be the best we could get here in the city. The only problem is that they don't seem to keen on removing the baby teeth as the don't like dealing with the mouth as it can contaminate the blood stream & they don't want to keep her under very long not knowing her liver issues & that she is only 2 lbs. Has anyone else had a liver biopsy done along with getting teeth pulled? I can't imagine putting her under a 2nd time to get teeth done - she would have to keep her double canines for quite sometime...Also, has anyone had a liver biopsy done & are there any risks to the procedure?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali was spayed at 8 months, during her heat cycle due to we thought she also had an obstruction. SHe had it done at the ER hospital, state of the art because she also needed a liver biopsy as her BA were 0/92 and on retest 0/45 or close to. She also needed her double set of teeth pulled. But the er clinic said they couldn't pull her teeth as she was under longer than they like and she started to loose body heat so they brought her to. So Cali was diagnosed with very mild MVD Internal shunt and no treatment was necessary and she will be 3 next month and still has some double teeth. Hope everything works out ok for you and your baby.
