Default Acting like she has a hairball...

Abby has been acting like she's trying to cough something up. Two mornings in a row, I've noticed that while she's trying to nap, she'll become restless and then start to have what sounds like a cat coughing up a hairball, type of cough.

If she had only done it this morning, I would have thought that she got water in her nose or something when I bathed her, but she also did it yesterday morning....

Anyone else ever experience this with their baby?

BTW, she'll be 15 weeks old tomorrow and weighs about 2.5 lbs. She's supposed to see the vet next Friday, should I go ahead and take her in before that?
Another important note, she only seems to do it in the morning during her nap time. All her blankets are clean and she's been sleeping in this same spot since we brought her home.

Default Sonds like allergies

Could it be allergies? That how I am in the a.m. Morning gook and then ok as the day goes on. I'd call the vet and see what they suggest. I live in upstate New York and I also work at a doctors office , and alot of people are suffering this year from all the pollen and mold up here.

I do think Abby might have allergies. I just switched her food to Canidae and NV raw. She hasn't had any of the raw yet, as a matter of fact, today is the first time she's even had the new kibble. So, I don't think it's the change in her food, but maybe she's still having some reaction to her old food or it's outside type stuff, mold, pollen, etc.. Her eyes will water a lot at times.

Just now while I was holding her on my lap, it sounded like she threw up and swallowed it. Now she's resting peacefully.

I guess a call to the vet is in order.

Tricksie did that last week during the night, the next morning I was combing her and found thread in her teeth with no end to it. Happened to be a ball of thread that she had swallowed and when I loosened the thread around her teeth she swallowed that. By the time I got to the Vet there was no signs of it but he gave me flavored vaseline so that hopefully she would pass it, well that day she threw it up. Can't imagine where she got it.
Hopefully yours will be simple, let us know.

I'll have to call again tomorrow. They closed early today She's fine now, just like yesterday. She only coughed for a while in the morning.

Oh My! I'm so glad she's OK!
I'm constantly having to take thing away from Abby. If there's a speck of anything, she'll find it.

Giz has done this on a few occasions. Each time I would come back later to find a surprise pile of ick..pieces of his tennis ball, hair, the puppies kibble and a few unidentifiable things. I've said in the past he was my lil' goat boy and I guess he still is.

She hasn't done it since I posted. I did call the vet and talked to the vet tech. She told me if it made me feel better, I could bring her in, but otherwise she didn't feel like it was an emergency. (at that point I didn't either)
I'll just be aware and if she does it again, we'll go see the doc. I'll talk to them more about it on Friday when she goes in for her 16 week ck up.

Thanks for all the input Abby and I both appreciate it.

PS Gizmo's Mom, I was wondering if it was maybe caused from fuzz on her blanket or from a tennis ball. Now that you said that, it really makes me wonder. The world may never know.
