... for my friend Trish's little Sierra!! They have a new motorhome and left last week for it's "maiden voyage". Yes ... they took their pack of Yorkies, like always! Late yesterday, their 8 yr. old pack leader, Sierra, threw up a couple of times ... just yellow foam ... not a big alarm. Sierra woke Trish in the wee hours, throwing up blood!! Because of stringy stuff that looked a little like grass, they began looking and found that she had eaten polyfil from a toy. They were in an area where ER was totally out of the question ... heck, a vet was out of the question. They are headed to Grand Junction at warp speed in contact with our vet here. The thing that worries us worse is that she is refusing to drink! As soon as Trish told me that, I ran home and threw chicken on and am making her some parsley chicken broth. Toto would drink that when she wouldn't touch anything else! I'm frantic, making broth, praying and waiting for a call ... I don't know what else to do!! Please pray for little Sierra!

Awww, what a terrible situation! These little ones can get themselves in the darndest ones, can't they?
My thoughts and prayers are with your friends, I hope they'll get the baby taken care of quickly. You're a good friend for trying to help! Let us know how they do, OK?

Praying for Sierra. Pixie ate a silca package and she got so violantly ill so I rushed her to the Er, but once she had gotten it all out of her system she was ok. Hoping the same with the polyfill.

Thank you all for your prayers! I'm just waiting for them to get to GJ. They have had such a great trip ... 5 Yorkies, who wouldn't have a good time!

Poor little Sierra ... she is such a little sweetheart, so loving ... she's just got to be OK. She's never sick. I will update as soon as I know something.

Praying that Sierra is over the worst and will be on the mend real soon. Poor little thing...hope she starts taking in some fluids quick.

I would be concerned that if she is vomiting blood, she will need surgery. My vet operated on a pup that swallowed string, and it was wrapped around her intestines.
