Chanel is not feeling well. What do i do! Chanel started vomiting Sunday night.Shes always eating anything she could find so thats something she does often. This time she continued vomiting all day so I kept her away from food for a few hours and feed her little bits of cooked chicken breast. After that she seemed back to her normal playful self..I called the vet Monday morning and was told to just keep an eye on her and to bring her in if the vomiting starts again.Well Monday night she started having diarrhea. It continued until the next morning so I took her to the vet.He told me she had a bacterial infection and put her on albon, he also gave her a shot for vomiting and told me she could go back to eating her normal food. She seemed to be acting normal yesterday except for the diarrhea.Last night she wouldnt eat and today either, I havent seen her make a bowel movement since about 5 pm yesterday. I think she wants to keep eating the chicken but I dont know if thats what started her diarrhea to begin with. She also seems a little down. I dont know what to do anymore , Can anyone help me.Pleeeease. I dont want my baby to suffer anymore.

the blood is normal... very common when pups have diarrhea.. it's the the lining of their intestines that have been irritated IF i were you (again, just my opinion) i would take her off what the vet gave her (diarrhea and vominiting can OFTEN be treated without meds.. and that's the way i like to do it) I would keep giving her the boiled chicken breast, put some white rice in with it. Give her some plain, pro biotic yogurt to help her get the good bacteria back in her system. If she isn't wanting to eat or drink try giving her some diluted Pedialyte. chances are good it is something she ate and her system just needs to get back to normal. Good luck! we've all been there... i've been there A LOT and every time i still get so upset... keep us posted!

Oh I hope Chanel gets feeling better soon.. I use pumpkin and buttermilk mixed together.. when I first got a puppy once he had worms so bad and it took us 5 months to get him sorted out.. the one thing that helped him was the canned pumpkin and butter milk.. I also do the yogurt too... but when they are really bad that pumpkin gives them fibre and the butter kinda coats their little tummies.. I got this information from a breeder as I was not on YT and was at my wits end... keep us updated...anne

Chanel seelms to be doing much better.i tried the yogurt and gave her som more bolied chicken , this time I tried the rice and she ate it all up. She still hasnt pooped so Im assuming its because she doesnt have diarrhea anymore.Im just waiting to see what and when it will happen. How weird is that! Aside from that shes back to her crazy usual self. Thank for everyones help.I dont know what i would do without your help. I just hope at some point in time she will get over eating everything shes not supposed to.My question now is how do i get her weaned off the chicken.Shes so picky and I know she wont want to go back to her old food.!
