| Polo Distressed, Itchy Rash Please help! My Polo, 2 years, is so miserable. Very distressed, crying, wriggling, rubbing up and down furniture, some welts, scratching. I took him to vet this morning. They gave him a steroid shot and a benadryl shot. Did fine for about 6 hours. Told me to give 12.5 dose of benadryl (half a child's dose) every 8 hours. It only helps him for a half hour and only just barely. He is sooooooooooo miserable and I don't know what to do for him. He can't eat, sleep or nothing. He's just so fidgety and jumpy. Could this be an allergy to something or something else. Please tell me what I can do for him to bring him relief. I think it is going to be an allnighter staying up with him. Thanks for any input. God Bless! Jan

| It sounds like an allergic reaction. Did you change his food? Put flea medication on him? Has he been in grass? Try to think of anything you've done differently or anything he could have gotten into.

| It does sound like an allergic reaction. Have you used new carpet/furniture spray? Have you used FaBreeze? Did you recently put up an automatic sprayer? Have you used a SwifferWetJet (or anything like it)? ANYthing you have done differently would be the first thing to change before haveing a series of tests done on your baby. |

| Another thing to consider....has anyone new been around Polo...someone who may have given him a scrap of food or, God forbid, a grape? Has he been able to run to a neighbor's house and grab something he shouldn't (poison or such). Geeze, I don't want to make you panic, I just want you to consider anything he may have consumed or got on his skin. |
