| Ear surgery... who has experience? Our poor little rescue Maggie has ear problems since the day we got her and it just won't get better. The last time we saw the vet he told us that she has a middle ear infection and a ruptured ear drum. He recommended flushing with water-vinegar solution, ear drops and antibiotics. Well, as often as I manage to get anything in her ear she goes absolutely crazy and the ear starts bleeding so I stopped doing that. The first two kinds of antibiotics caused a very upset stomach and diarrhea. Now we have some that she actually likes and she seems to do good with it. Still, the ear is not improving, she tilts her head and shakes quite a bit. The vet recommends a surgery that would open her ear canal and make it easier for her to shakle any dirt or moisture out. He promised me it would help her with the infections and it would be almost invisible (not that I would care about that if it helps...) My question is now if any of you has heard of such a surgery and what experiences have you had? |

| Thank you! We will have a detailed interview with the Vet on Thursday and I'm going to ask him everything about the procedure. Maggie had a bad episode last night and it just broke my heart to see her suffering so much... |
