| crying, rock hard tummy and yelping I honestly don't know what to do, we went to the vet last week and Bella acted fine when we were there so the vet thought i was crazy and she was fine... here are the symptoms she has been doing this for 2 weeks now: *she is crying constantly, its like a moan, heavy breathing and whines its very quiet i had only heard her do this before when she ate too much * when she crys she shuts her eyes and looks like whatever it is hurts very bad * she is wont bend down? this is hard to explain, to eat she lays her front paws straight out and keeps her bottom in the air *her tummy is rock hard * its the worst in the morning * maybe 30% of the time when i pick her up she yelps the doctor thought maybe she sprained something so she has been on an anti-inflammatory for the past week whenever its time for her med. she stopped crying any ideas?

| Has she had a movement, could she be constipated?? You might try some canned pumkin. If she has had a normal movement I would get her into see another vet that doesn't think you are "crazy". Something is not right. |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Dont worry about what the vet thinks and if they make u feel funny get a new vet! I am sure u pay a pretty penny and they should be helping you! Is he pooping and peeing okay?? Bell ahad gas really bad once and her belly was rock hard and she moaned a lot Id go back to the vet and demand an answer! I wish you luck and hope you find an answer.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Oh, gosh, I would get her back to the vet or go to a different vet entirely. That posturing is bc she is in some sort pain and she's trying to compensate for it. I really would get her in ASAP - anything abdominal could be serious, even when it's gone on for awhile. A rock hard tummy should be looked at. What are you feeding, btw?

| how fast did you switch food? and how recently? switching foods is a long procedure and if you switched too fast then that could be the cause.. also have you gave her any hard treats she could have swallowed? or rawhide?

| I wouldn't feed her anything at all for 24 hours. Just keep fresh water down for her. She needs a Vet. that will listen and hopefully this time the problem will be found. I hope it isn't going to be anything really serious and she makes a complete turn around very soon. |

| Don't wait and get a second opinion!! Something similar happened to my baby boy Gizmo, I had fed him Eukanuba lamb & rice ever since he's 1, and I decided to change his food to Eukanuba Yorkshire breed specific, what a mistake I made, Gizmo one night out of the sudden, 3 wks after I made the change started feeling ill, his vomit had tiny specs of blood, & his stool as well, I was very concerned and rushed to the vet the next morning, the vet, just analyzing by eye told me his tummy was too hard, and that this was an intestinal case... He then ran blood work, took x-rays and tested for worms... He had an intestinal infection, due to the change of food, I felt like such an Idiot!... He put him on i/d and has recovered... If I would have waited, and continue to ignore all the signs, perhaps I would have lost him!! All pups are different, My baby Gypsy loves the food, she tolerated it very well... Dont wait and get a second opinion... Sometimes their stomachs are very sensitive, and the slightest change can throw them off. |

| Zoeybear layed in bed for two days and acted like she was on death's door. She was constipated. A puppy enema for $70.00 at the vet fixed her right up!Please give us an update soon. Hope your baby is feeling better soon.
