| UPDATE on PEANUT................ I am so scarred for my baby...... I posted late last night that my baby was sick. I first want to really thank everyone and especially MyFairLacy for thier wonderful advice and best wishes. This morning he was not getting better, he still was drinking water but now just as soon as he drank some he would throw up. I called the vets office and they said bring him in right away. I bundled my baby up and off we go. We get there and there were so many other people there but the wonderful nurse went immediately to me and said he is waiting for you. They did a whole work up of blood, gave him a shot to stop the vomiting and x-rayed his abdomen. I kind of felt bad for the other people there waiting but at this point, my baby could not walk so I was also so grateful. Now this is the part that I am sure I will get mixed up because there was so much information and blood names to remember so if I get this mixed up please understand. I believe it was his white count that is 19,000 and something (cannot remember what the tech term name was) but for his kidneys was 39. He said there is something his body is trying to fight and that his blood was very dehydrated. I burst into tears. They took the ex-ray but did not see anything but the vet said that if it were plastic it would not show up so that gives them a direction if they cannot get his blood levels back to normal. So now, my baby is spending the night with an IV and antibiotics pumped into him. He has never been away from me, I cannot seem to stop crying, and the vet could see it and that precious man gave me his cell phone number to call anytime to check on him. I want to research and see what all could be wrong with him but I know deep down I really do not want to know because I do not think I could handle it. Sorry so long but wanted to let you guys know what’s going on and please pray for him. |

| I am so sorry to hear that both you and your furbaby are going through this right now. I would like to extend my prayers to you and think that your baby is in good hands. It is so nice to see that all of the vet employees were so compassionate. They definitely know how much our pets mean to us. Please keep us updated on your babies condition.

| I know this is very difficult, but he is at the best place to be taken care of right now. It sounds like you have a very attentive vet and staff. You can always go visit him before bedtime. Warmly, Deborah

| oh no...I was so hoping it was just a tummy ache and nothing serious He seemed like he was in pain though with the restlessness. So are they thinking an infection or possibly a blockage? I hope he gets better soon

| Thank you EVERYONE for your prayers! I do believe he is in the best place! He is looking more toward a blockage only because his sugar levels and something else (ohhh I should have wrote these levels down) were perfect. But with him being so dehydrated that was his biggest worry. He said if he doesn't fix that first so many other things could arise and could create more danger for him. They just called me to tell me they gave him some B12 and he is sleeping with his blanky. I am telling yall if anyone is ever in my small little town and need a vet ........ I swear they don't make them like this anymore. I told him I know he sees upset mommy's and daddy's all the time but he treated me with true understanding and compassion! |
