| Both babies have been to the vet this week! Rebel had diarrhea from eating chicken gizzards that my son gave him. Took him to the vet Monday and he's all fine now. Son called me yesterday at work and said Lucy was standing in place trembling and panting. I went home and picked her up and off to the vet we go. Bloodwork came back fine, no temp, stomach seemed OK. Well, the vet checked her anal glands and they were full to the point of being impacted and she said that could be the reason she was in pain. I am VERY angry - I took Lucy and Rebel to the groomer on 3/11/08 and specifically asked that their anal glands be expressed. Two weeks to the day I have to take Lucy to the vet and they are THAT bad! Is it possible for the glands to fill up that fast, or did my groomer not express them?

| Poor babies. I think it is possible. Glands want to be full and if you empty them once, they can fill quickly.

| I don't know anything about anal glands, but that seems awfully fast to fill back up. I've never had A.J's glands expressed, that I know of. It's possible that they do it at the groomers and just haven't told me.
