Yorkie Yakker | Jackis loosing fur... Do Yorkies shed? Hi I am completely new about this, my Jack is the first Yorkie I have ever had so please excuse my ignorance about not knowing details about the fur. Okay the question is about the fur, because I know that a Yorkie is known to be a supposedly non shedding dog, but he is nearly nine months old and I am noticing batches of fur all over the place. As well we have been noticing a few small bald patches, PLEASE if there is anything to worry about PLEASE PLEASE let me know soon as you read this I am starting to worry and I am not sure what to think. Thanks ahead for your personal time Jack and our family truly appreciate it. Have a Happy Easter. Jackie and his mom |

| It could be thyroid, demodex and would check with your vet to find the cause. Good luck.

| Does your baby scratch alot? Tink used to leave balls of fur all over the house. By 3 months, the hair on the back of her legs was completely gone. We never did figure out why her hair came out but she is healthy and has no skin allergies. She is 19 months and every once in a while I find a couple little balls of fur laying on the carpet. One thing I've learned about Tink is that if she has a diaper on, I have to wash her legsm not just her tulip and tushee when I take the diaper off in the morning or she licks herself silly and the hair on her tummy and the back of her legs disappears! (just to explain, Tink has seizures at night and in order to let her sleep with me, I put a diaper on her at night so we don't have accidents.) If this continues much longer, I'd have her looked at by your vet as Deborah says. |

| I just saw this and I hope Jack is doing better....I would want a check by the vet if there is a large enough hair loss for you so be so concerned....I have three yorkies and have never seen any hair loss....Maybe thyroid?.....Good luck and wishing Jack well.....
