Sadie in Surgery... :( My Poor Sadie is getting fixed today...I know it's not a big deal but she looked so sad and confused. I totally got the "why are you leaving me here" look! She is also getting teeth pulled (she has double i teeth on the bottom and some other baby teeth that just won't fall out) and getting Micro chipped. It is such a big day that my hubby took the whole day off and at lunch we are going to buy her a surprise. I will pick her up around 4:00. |

i begged for 2 years for us to get a dog...and now if something happened we would go to court over her! He loves her more than anything. Since he travels he didn't want to risk not being there "just in case" Of course i'm at work :) This is also the same man who bought her a $40 sweater (that she grew out of in 2 weeks) b/c she had to get shots! |
It is really hard when you have to take them in for surgery, even if it is for their own good. It always makes me half sick the whole day until I get them back. I also feel so guilty about not being able to feed them before their surgery. It's not like you can tell them why they have to go hungry. Prayers going out for little Sadie today. She'll be back in your arms before you know it. |
Yep, and the one good thing from surgery is that it calms them down a bit afterwards. It gives you a break. |
awwww Im sure she'll do just fine, but it is definately a stressful day for you and your baby! Lots of cuddles tonight for her! :) |
Update: Just talked to the vet and they said she did really well! Thanks Everyone for the good thoughts for Sadie :) |
Glad to hear Sadie is doing well. Surgery of any type is always a big worry. I'm glad you have such a great DH to support you. |
That's good to hear.:) |
I know exactly what you're going through. I just went through it this past Tuesday when I had to drop off my boy for neutering and 5 baby teeth extractions. I took the day off and my mom and I dropped him off at the vet's. We were both balling! I didn't think I was going to cry but when I handed him off to the vet tech and looked at his little face I lost it. The night before, my mom even had nightmares about losing him because she was so worried. I've called the vet's office three times already to ask a zillion questions as well as post here. The first night was really scary and I felt so bad for the little one. We were spoon feeding him food and now he is acting like a total diva! |
Just saw your thread! I am so happy that your little Sadie did well. It's such a scarry thing .... we went through it when Toto was 8 months old and she did great! She will be 5 yrs. old in July and we still hover over her!! :p I held her in my arms for about 2 days after ... she did much better than I did. Sadie will be zipping around before you know it! ;) |
I know how you feel. I felt the same way when my little girl went through it. I'm glad she's doing okay. Give her lots of lovin and she'll be back to normal in no time! :p |
I am glad your baby is doing well. |
