| Dulce's Re-Check Visit I'm taking Dulce back to the vet today for a recheck on her kennel cough that has still not suppressed. Even though she has been on medication, she hasn't made a significant amount of progress. I hope today they can give me a better answer! Wish us luck!!!

| How long has Dulce had the cough. It can last 3 weeks or more but is self limiting unless there is a secondary infection. Vets often give cough suppressants and antibiotics but they don't cure the cough. I think this is much harder on the owner than the dog. Hope it resolves soon. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When I got Cali she had it and gave it to my older pom and they both had it for 3 months. 3 rounds of antibiotics and it just gradually went away so it can take time. Hope Dulce feels better soon.

| Wee Sebo is just rid of it! Took exactly 3 weeks, 1 course of antibiotics, 1 shot of cough suppresant and a shot of anti inflammatory. After 2 weeks of coughing and sneezing, the vet said no more drugs, just to let the cough see itself out, which it did very quickly. It seems a horrible thing to have, quite a few sleepless nights for all concerned, I think the best thing is keep taking the meds even if it doesn't seem to be helping, it'll make sure it doesn't develop into something more serious like pneumonia! Hope your wee one gets better quickly! |
