Cry A Turn For The Worse...please We Need Prayers

As a few of you know Boo-Boo hasn't been feeling very well ever science last thursday and the vet doesn't have a clue, what's wrong with him. For those who don't know this is what happened:

Thursday Started feeling ill with diarrhea with a little blood in it and lots of mucous Also shivering -didn't eat at all nor drank watter
Friday Same as thursday
Saturday Feeling a lot better, ate properly and drank lots of watter
Sunday Went back to feeling ill like thursday
MondayFelt bad in the morning, afternoon running around and playing but not much food
Tuesday Feeling quite bad, throwing up quite a bit and the poop is soft with mucous but not diarheea Not eating at all Verry Verry Unsettled
Also before he throws up he's licking his lips for about 30 seconds

Just good to mention that he has a liver shunt as well and he had a surgery for it but it wasn't treatable.

Someone mentioned to me ''Addison's disease'' which has the same symptoms so I will ask my vet about this when I will see him today in the evening. Can you guys tell me what ealse I should ask my vet because he doesn't seem able to find what's wrong with Boo-Boo.
Do you think there is a chance that his liver will stop functioning because of his liver shunt.
Oh God, what will I do about this? Please can someone help me. I am sooooooo scared for my lil' baby boy. He knows he shouldn't throw up anywhere in the house so all he does now is lay on the newspaper(just in case he's gonna be sick)so he doesn't upset mommy. That just breaks my heart cause he's such a good boy.He is looking at me with such sad eyes like to say''Mommy I don't feel very well, please help me'' And stupid mommy has no clue what to do

I'm sorry to read this about your baby. Did the vet do bloodwork? I wish I could be of more help or comfort to you, I will pray for your baby. Maybe a different vet, there is obviously something very wrong.

He's the best vet here in our town(obviously there aren't good vets aound). He's the most expensive as well but they did saved Boo-Boo's life when he almost died b/c of a seisure, that's the reason I stayed with them.
They will do Bloodworks tomorrow and will see.
Thank you for the prayers, it means a lot.

Did the vet check for parasites in the intestines, the symptoms you describe sound very similar to those my Tinks was suffering from the time I got her as a pup. In November I told the vet I couldn't take her being ill every other week and he checked a stool sample and picked up a parasite. Since treatment she has been 100%.

Could it be symptoms from the shunt since they couldn't repair it? What is he taking for that?

First off you are not a Stupid Mommy.....you are a wonderful mommy. We tend to get down on ourselves when we can not help our babies but you have to know you are doing the best you can and you will do whatever you can to help Boo-Boo.

Secondly I am saying a prayer for you both. I think it is hard to determine what may be wrong with him as throwing up and diarrhea go hand in hand with many, many things. The blood work is a good place to start. Please keep us updated and know you will both be in my thoughts and prayers today.

Sending lots of hugs and kisses to Boo-Boo!

I am so sorry to hear Boo Boo is still so sick. My pom who has Cushings disease which is the opposite of Addison's disease was on meds for it and the meds made her go in to liver disease. Her symptoms of liver disease were not wanting to eat when that's all she lived for and throwing up a lot and bloody mucousy diahrea. The did bloodwork and her levels were extremely high and then they did an ultrasound oh her liver and it showed the damage. She was put on prednisone and another meds and she is doing pretty good. So I would get the bloodwork done and then go from there. I know how terrible it is to see them so sick. You are both in my prayers.

Maria - you are a wonderful mommy and BooBoo knows that. The symptoms do sound like what Sissy was experiencing when she was so sick with Giardia. Sometimes parasites can show as negative but still be the cause. I would ask your vet about that and if they can't find anything else wrong, begin treating for parasites. He also should at least get sub-Q fluids because of all the vomiting. We'll be thinking of and praying for you.
